I finally purchased one of the Japanese candy making kits when I passed by a confection shop today. It was super cute and I had to watch a youtube video for instructions since I don't read japanese. I picked out the sushi kit, but they also had ice cream, donut & bento kits. It tasted like chewy grape jolly ranchers, I had fun making it. Let me know if you've ever tried these before :)

I love these kits! Oddly enough I never saw them in stores in my six years in Japan. Then again I probably wasn't looking for them either! We have tons here in the Japanese markets in LA though. If you can find it the hamburger one is pretty interesting, it actually tastes like a hamburger, fries and a drink!
